Ronald F. Larson practices law in Sun City and Scottsdale, Arizona, with a focus on estate planning, probate and small business legal problems. He attended the University of Wyoming (B.S. with honors) and Arizona State University College of Law (J.D., magna cum laude). Designated a Certified Specialist in Estate and Trust Law by the State Bar of Arizona and an Accredited Estate Planner by the National Association of Estate Planners (NAEPC), Ron is a frequent speaker at professional education seminars on estate planning, probate and ethics. He is Past President of the Washington-based National Society of Tax Professionals (NSTP) and edited the NSTP Estates, Trusts and Gift Tax Manual, which was used in seminars throughout the country. Ron is the Technical Editor of The Federal Tax Alert, a national periodical for tax professionals. Ron was a founding member of the Arizona Probate Litigation Committee and has been listed in The Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys since 2001. He was recently appointed to the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Committee (IRSAC), advising the Director of Practice and the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility.
Currently, Ron is the Vice-President of the Central Arizona Estate Planning Council and a part-time appellate judge of the Arizona Court of Military Appeals. He also has served on the Boards of Directors of several community organizations and his church. Ron is the longest serving member of the Board of Directors of Gompers Habilitation Center (since 1981). His experience and expertise have helped ensure that Gompers remains an example of superior fiscal stewardship.
