Ron Tilley

Chief Operating Officer

Ron TilleyRon Tilley has for many years been personally vested in addressing the challenges that face persons with disabilities.  Still vivid from the age of 6, Tilley recalls memories of his local school district arriving at his parents’ home to inform them that they could no longer educate his sister due to her disability, who as a result, spent the next 11 years in an institution.  Finally, due to Public Law 94-142, the Equal Education Act for People with Disabilities, that institution was shut down in 1978 and his sister spent her last year of school in the same high school he attended.   The experience led him to obtain his Special Education and Health Education degrees in the late 1980’s.   By the early 1990’s, Tilley was managing non-profit services for people with disabilities and has continued in that field ever since, both in the US and in Australia, where he also played and coached basketball professionally.  Tilley is also a Board Member for The ARC of Arizona, an advocacy agency for people with disabilities.  Currently, as Chief Operating Officer of Gompers Habilitation Center, Tilley brings to the table a wealth of experience in working with and advocating for this special population.  Supporting Gompers vision to provide quality services is his primary focus. Tilley is also a devoted husband to Tris and father to his daughter, Mariah and 2 sons, Badden and Joshua.
