Gompers Center has been devoted
to serving adults and children with disabilities in the
Arizona community since 1947. A non-profit
organization, Gompers has provided professionally organized
and implemented programs of special education, day training for adults, aquatic
and rehabilitative therapy, a brand new dental clinic,
vocational training, employment placement, and community
education to thousands of adults and children with disabilities
and their families for nearly 60 years.
The majority of individuals
who attend Gompers Center were born with multiple disabilities
such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Seizure Disorder, Mental
Retardation and Down Syndrome; conditions that are classified
as Developmental Disabilities. Gompers serves over
270 adults and children in a 55,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art
facility. Our building was designed around the
individual needs of our special clients.
