Gompers Center has always recognized that Dental Care is the most seriously neglected health problem of people with mental, emotional and physical disabilities. These vulnerable individuals, like everyone else, want quick relief from troublesome dental problems. Gompers Center has once again stepped forward and has done something about this problem, by creating a low-cost fee for service practice. Our modern, fully equipped Dental Health Center employs a full time dental hygienist, a dentist, and a dental assistant/administrative assistant all trained and experienced in delivering special needs dentistry to the disabled population.

Gompers' low cost dental program is a discount or "reduced fee" dental plan designed for the disabled population who are looking to improve their oral health and minimize their dental care expenses. These discounted fees are substantially less than what the average dental facility charges. Gompers' goal is to have all Special people enjoy the confidence of a Special smile.

Our eligibility requirements include:

• 21 plus years of age.

• Demonstrate letter of eligibility for SSI or SSD. You may attain this from the Social Security office or by calling 1-800-772-1213 and requesting a letter of verification.

• Be affiliated with a like program/agency to Gompers Center or in a group home setting for disabled adults and provide verification of this by having the agency write a letter to the effect of program involvement.

• Provide proof of guardianship where applicable.
