Gompers Habilitation Center offers professionally organized programs that wholly support the very special needs of the individuals we serve.
Special Education Program
Our Special Education Program staff dedicated and certified teachers who provide quality education for students ages 5 through 22 with cognitive and physical disabilities.
Day Training for Adults Program
With an emphasis on communication, social interaction, self-sufficiency, pre-vocational, volunteerism and other important focuses, our Day Training for Adults program serves more than 170 clients daily. In addition, Gompers is proud to offer our Premier Program which serves individuals over the age of 50 in a relaxed and fun environment that encourages participation and social interaction.
Our Vocational Program offers an on-site industrial training center, enclave opportunities, community placement and various other work-related experiences for individuals seeking opportunities for growth and the chance to earn a steady paycheck.
State of the art dentistry complimented by a caring and professional staff provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to better their oral health.
Occupational, Physical, Recreational and Speech Therapy is provided to students and clients needing these therapies as a means to enhance their overall well-being. We also provide a warm water pool for our students and clients.
Gompers fleet includes more than 30 specially equipped vans utilized to transport nearly 200 students and clients to and from Gompers every day.
